A few sheds that do not follow the National Fuel Permit system were suspended

It has been decided to suspend the services of several filling stations that do not follow the National Fuel Permit system while distributing fuel.

This decision was taken at the progress review meeting held yesterday (16) with officials of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation and the Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminal regarding the ordering and distribution of fuel under the chairmanship of the Minister of Power and Energy Mr. Kanchana Wijesekera.

As of yesterday, plans to collect the amount of Rs. 105 billion due from the Ceylon Electricity Board as soon as possible, to provide fuel continuously, and to keep the refinery operational have also been discussed here.
