The Association of Government Medical Officers says that the petition signed by doctors across the country against the government’s new tax policy will be handed over to the President next week.
Dr. Haritha Aluthge, Secretary of the Government Medical Officers Association, said that the doctors of all the hospitals across the country signed the petition.
He also said that the biggest union of professionals is currently being formed to reverse the unfair tax reforms of the government and introduce a fair tax policy to the people.
Mr. Haritha Aluthge said that if the tax policy is not changed, a black protest week will be announced in the last week of this month.
