It is reported that traffic on the Kandy-Mahiyanganaya 18-bend road has been disrupted due to the collapse of an earthen mound.
A mound of earth has collapsed in the area between 14 and 15 bends.
The Disaster Management Center stated that one lane was blocked this morning.
Steps have been taken to remove the soil.
Drivers are advised to drive with caution as there is a risk of further landslides.
