A businessman who has been accused of defrauding more than 500 people by stating that he was providing Apple mobile phones at a low price while running a business place on Galle Road, Colombo, was arrested by the Colombo Fraud Investigation Bureau for another similar fraud of Rs. 7.5 million.
A 29-year-old businessman named Parameswaran Jeevithan, a resident of Madampitiya Road, Colombo 15, has been involved in this scam in a rented shop.
He has been involved in this fraud by making a big advertisement in social media stating that he will provide Apple mobile phones at a low price claiming that he will give the mobile phones within a month after getting the money.
