Since there will be showers and thundershowers at times in the Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces,the Department of Meteorologies inform the public to take necessary steps to reduce the damages caused by the temporary winds and lightning.
Strict showers of about 50 mm can also cause in some areas.
There will be several rain periods in the Western and Northwestern provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.
In Hambantota and Trincomalee Districts, in the North, North-Central and North Western Provinces, speed of the winds is about 30-40 kmph and meteorologists said that it could go up to 50 kmph.
