One of the major issues will be over by the 1st quarter of this year

Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella says that by the first quarter of this year, the problems that have arisen in the country due to the shortage of medicines will be resolved.

President Ranil Wickramasinghe has allocated a lot of money to the Ministry of Health for this year and the Minister mentions that many international organizations including the Indian loan aid and the Asian Development Bank will provide the necessary support to solve the medical problem in the country.

Minister of Health Keheliya Rambukwella said while attending a press conference in Kandy that people who want to gain political advantage from the shortage of medicine have implemented a program to discourage medicine importers.

The Minister added that the Ministry of Health has Rs. 52 billion in debt, including Rs. 15 billion to government pharmaceutical companies and Rs. 16 billion to two state banks.
