Electricity and Energy Minister Mr. Kanchana Wijesekera says that the current power cuts across the country will be suspended for five of the next few days.
Accordingly, the minister has announced that there will be no power cut on December 24, 25, 26, 31 and January 01.
Christmas is celebrated on the 25th by Christians all over the world.
Also, there will be no electricity cut on January 1, the beginning of the new year.
