The OIC of the forensic laboratory in Chilaw was attacked by a sergeant working in the same office yesterday.
The Nattandiya Assistant Superintendent of Police office, which is conducting an investigation into the matter, states that the sergeant attacked the OIC’s face after an argument between the two when the sergeant met the OIC to recommend an appeal prepared to get a transfer.
The Office of the Assistant Superintendent of Police states that the OIC pushed the police sergeant, and both have filed complaints against each other to the police.
The Nattandiya Assistant Superintendent of Police has started an investigation regarding these two officers.
