The Peradeniya Police have arrested 06 university students for attacking the official residence of Mr. Athula Senaratne, a former Vice-Chancellor and a current Dean of the University of Peradeniya.
These 06 students will be arrested after surrendering at the Peradeniya Police Station last night.
The arrested students are residents of the Nittambuwa, Sandagala, Girithale, Matale, Henegamuwa and Galagamwatta areas.
The police say that they have identified 06 more suspects involved in this attack. The police say that investigations are being conducted to arrest them.
The attack took place on the night of the 10th.
