Veteran singer Nuwan Gunawardena has passed away.
It was reported that he passed away this afternoon while being treated in the hospital due to an illness.
Going beyond the ability of an average talented singer, he also showed his talent as a lyricist and musician and has bequeathed many popular songs for decades.
The songs ‘Kandulinma Gayu’, ‘Kirimudu Werale’, ‘Paavi Giyawe’, ‘Sihil Pawane’ are just a few of the many songs he sang.
Mr. Gayan Gunawardena, a novice singer, announcer, model and actor, is the son of Mr. Nuwan Gunawardena.
