Health authorities reveal that they have seen an increase in the spread of (Leptospirosis) rat flu.
Deputy Health Services Director General Hemantha Herath said that kidney patients and liver patients should pay more attention to this while engaging in cultivation activities.
The Director General of Health Services also advises farmers to be careful when clearing fields, especially near the banks.
He has also requested to obtain necessary health advice from the offices of the Health Medical Officer of the concerned area before engaging in farming activities.
