The Human Trafficking, Smuggling and Maritime Crime Investigation Division, which investigates the human trafficking of women to Oman, has taken necessary steps to obtain a red notice from the International Police against Kushan, who was suspended from work at the Sri Lankan Embassy in Oman.
A related court order has even been obtained by the Human Trafficking, Smuggling Investigation and Maritime Crime Investigation Division. It has already been forwarded to the International Police Headquarters in Paris by the International Police Branch located in the Criminal Investigation Department.
The international police have taken steps to issue a red notice against Kushan because there is a risk of him fleeing from Oman to another country without coming to this country.
This red notice has been obtained against him in connection with sexual harassment of women. Two women have already given statements to the Human Trafficking, Smuggling and Maritime Crime Investigation Division that Sri Lankan women who sought refuge at the Oman Embassy’s security house were sexually assaulted by this man. A senior police officer said that he took steps to get this order based on those statements.
