After eleven years, the Sri Lanka Air Force Men’s Team won the National Water Polo Championship.
It was at the 2022 – National Water Polo Championship organized by the Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union (SLASU).
It was held from the last 18th to the 20th at the Sugathadasa Stadium Swimming Pool Complex.
The final was played between the Old Thomians Swimming Club (OTSC) and the Sri Lanka Air Force team, where the Sri Lanka Air Force defeated the Old Thomians by 9 to 7 points.
Sri Lanka Air Force Captain Airman R. L. K. Udayatra won the award as the best player of the tournament and Cadet Officer U. I. O. De Silva won the highest scorer of the tournament award.
Mr. Neru Nanayakkara, President of Water Sports Association and Air Commodore Asela Jayasekara, President of Air Force Water Sports Squad participated in the prize giving ceremony of this tournament.
