President Ranil Wickramasinghe was on an observation tour of Mannar district this morning (20).
The purpose of the President’s visit was to investigate the problems of the people of Mannar and to discuss possible solutions to those problems.
President Ranil Wickremesinghe, who came to Mannar city, first looked into the renovation works of Mannar Dutch Fort.
After that, the President visited Nadukuda fishing village and had a friendly conversation with the fishing community and inquired about their problems.
Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe was informed about the many problems faced by the residents of Ndukuda fishing village and he said that they will be promptly investigated and the necessary solutions will be provided.
The president also observed the area where the Mannar wind power plant is being built and looked into the future activities of the wind power plant and did not forget to ask about the people’s problems in the power plant area.
