Naula Police today arrested a police sergeant who sexually assaulted a 15-year-old student in the sports hall of Naula National School.
The police investigation has revealed that the police sergeant attached to the Naula police station committed the crime against the student on the 6th.
The complaint was made to the police by the student’s mother.
Accordingly, the police have taken steps to record a statement from the student.
Investigations have revealed that a photograph taken with a bottle of alcohol was found on the police officer’s mobile phone. It has also been revealed in the investigation that the officer asked the student for the route to the child’s home saying that he wanted to inform the parents about it. It is said that the student has informed he’s not coming home. A senior police officer stated that the child’s statements indicate that the student was taken to the school’s sports hall and molested by the relevant officer.
Accordingly, the officer further stated that the sergeant was arrested and suspended.
The concerned officer has informed the principal of the school and the parents about it.
