“If the intelligence units of this time had been there during the war, they would have arrested us and Prabhakaran would have given orders to summon us there,” said Sarath Fonseka, member of the Samagi Jana Balawega, in Parliament today (10).

Mr. Sarath Fonseka said this while replying to an accusation levelled against him that the intelligence agencies had indicated that he had organized a protest held on the 2nd.

Mr. Sarath Fonseka said that Wasantha Mudalige and the monks in custody are seriously ill and said that if their lives are harmed by mistake, the Terrorism Investigation Department and the police will definitely be razed by the people of this country to the ground.

Mr. Sarath Fonseka said that he is asking the people not to help this government to the point of violating the human rights of the people, and he said that he is also asking the Sri Lankans abroad not to send a single dollar to this country.
