In relation to the investigations regarding the large-scale financial frauds committed by Thilini Priyamali, Veteran actor and former Deputy Minister Jeevan Kumaratunga and his wife have been interrogated by the Criminal Investigation Department at length and their statements have been recorded.
A senior police officer said that the two of them came yesterday (05) according to a summons made before the Criminal Investigation Department, where they were interrogated for about 05 hours.
It is said that the Criminal Investigation Department has questioned the two of them about the relationship between Mr. Jeevan Kumaratunga and his wife with Thilini Priyamali and also about the film allegedly produced by Thilini, regarding the character of Mr. Jeevan Kumaratunga.
