In the next election, 30-40% of the ruling party will go to the UNP

Sri Lanka Muslim Congress leader Rauf Hakeem said in Kandy this afternoon (25) that he would agree if President Ranil Wickremesinghe was invited to join him as ‘our old leader’.

Mr. Rauf Hakeem expressed these views as a special guest at the Milad Un Nabi School National Celebration organized by the Muslim School Development Branch of the Ministry of Education.

State Minister of Education The national festival was held under the chairmanship of Mr. A. Arvind Kumar.

Answering the questions raised by the journalists, Mr. Rauf Hakeem said that ‘Side changes and party changes have become a simple thing now’.

Therefore, Mr. Hakeem mentioned that it should not be surprising if such thing happens.

Mr. Hakeem said that after Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe was appointed as the President, thirty to forty members of the ruling party are supporting the President and ready to unite with his party in the next election.

Mr. Hakeem also said that since the crafty cunning scenes are being completed, we can have hope for the future.
