    The National Assembly meets for the first time tomorrow – No representation from 03 parties

    Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena says that the National Assembly will meet for the first time on Thursday (29).

    The speaker mentioned that the future activities will be discussed there.

    Meanwhile, political parties recently submitted the names of parliamentarians to the Speaker for the National Assembly.

    Accordingly, it includes the names of Douglas Devananda, Nazeer Ahmed, Tiran Alas, Sisira Jayakodi, Sivanesathurei Chandrakanthan, Johnston Fernando, Rauf Hakeem, Pavitrha Vanniarachchi and Vajira Abeywardena.

    Apart from this, the names of A. L. M. Athaullah, Tissa Witharana, rishard badurdeen, Wimal Weerawansa, Vasudeva Nanayakkara, Palani Digambaran, Mano Ganesan, Udaya Gammanpila and Rohitha Abeygunawardena have also been proposed to the National Assembly.

    Namal Rajapaksa, Jeevan Thondaman, Gajendra Kumar, Athuraliye Ratana, Asanka Navarathne, Ali Sabri Rahim, C. V. Wigneswaran, Weerasumana Weerasinghe and Sagara Kariyawasam are also included in the National Assembly.

    However, none of the MPs representing Samagi Jana Balawega, National Jana Balawega and Dallas Alahapperuma faction has been nominated for it.
