The court’s decision about a case against the President

The Supreme Court has decided that a case cannot be maintained against President Ranil Wickramasinghe.

It is a case in which Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe has been named as a respondent regarding the Easter Sunday terror attack.

Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe was made a respondent in the fundamental rights petitions submitted regarding the failure to take steps to prevent a terrorist attack on Easter Sunday despite receiving intelligence information.

The above order has been issued by a seven-member Supreme Court bench led by Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya.
