There was a discussion in Parliament today about the incidents of students fainting and falling during school morning meetings which were reported to have happened in several places in different parts of the island.

There, Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said that he is not ruling out the fact, but he found out when he contacted the school’s principal that there were no reports of such an incident in a school in Minuwangoda.

The minister also said that she was not certain whether such a thing happened in another school nearby and played the audio recording of the phone call in the parliament for everyone to hear.

Here, the speaker said that what the minister did was wrong and only MPs can address the parliament.
