Nelum Kuluna Private Company says that on the first day of its opening, Nelum Kuluna has earned an income of Rs. 2.1 million.
Its Chief Executive Officer, retired Major General Prasad Samarasinghe said that 2,662 visitors came to see the tower yesterday.
People will have the opportunity to visit the tower every wekday at 1.00 pm.
The Lotus Tower, which is considered to be the tallest building in South Asia, was opened to the public from yesterday afternoon, as the first phase of the opening.
Built on an area of 30,600 square meters, the height of the lotus tower is 350 meters.
A person who comes with a ticket gets the opportunity to stay on the 7th floor for 30 minutes and from there one can visit many places like Sigiriya, Sri Pada, Knuckles Range.
Colombo Lotus Tower Pvt Ltd has planned to open the second phase of the Lotus Tower in the next two months and the third phase by March next year.
