IMF agrees to provide financial aid to Sri Lanka

Officials of the International Monetary Fund have reached a staff-level agreement on providing financial facilities to Sri Lanka. It was after the discussion with the authorities of this country.

Accordingly, it has been agreed to provide an amount of US$ 2.9 billion to Sri Lanka under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF).

Officially announced that it has agreed to provide this financial facility with a program of 48 months.

They have also expressed their interest in supporting Sri Lanka’s economic policies.
