The proposal related to the decision taken to restructure Sri Lankan Airlines is to be submitted to the Cabinet in the future.
Minister-in-Charge Mr. Nimal Siripala de Silva said today while attending a press conference held at the ministry that SriLankan Airlines has been decided to restructure.
Accordingly, the Minister stated that it was decided to call proposals to award 49% shares of the Sri Lankan Catering Company and its administration, and 49% of the airport operations and its administration to an investor.
However, after proposing this to the Cabinet, the approval of the Cabinet should be obtained.
