Minister of Power and Energy Mr. Kanchana Wijesekera says that the tender for the supply of coal for the Norochcholai power plant was awarded to the lowest bid.
The tender was awarded yesterday (25).
The minister said that due process of procurement will be followed with evaluation and approval from STEC, SSCAPC.
He also said that the credit facility will be provided by the supplier for a period of 6 months from the date of delivery of each shipment.
