Mr. Nimal Siripala de Silva, Minister of Ports, Navigation and Aviation Services, says that system change cannot be done through protests or political projects.
The minister said that false ‘system changes’ which have no results are of no use and said that system change can only be achieved by equipping the young generation politically, economically and socially.
The minister also said that he would request the diploma holders to advocate for a real system change that sees the reality rather than resorting to meaningless system changes.
He mentioned that the traditional system of the port authority was changed after he was appointed as the minister and he never appointed relatives or political friends to the positions of the port.
Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva said that he appointed professionals in their respective fields to the Port Authority.
