The second batch of urea fertilizer received in Sri Lanka under Indian loan assistance has been handed over to Agriculture Minister Mahinda Amaraweera today.
21000 metric tons of urea have been delivered today.
The minister said that these fertilizers will be distributed to the northern and eastern regions today.
The Minister of Agriculture said that in addition to urea fertilizers, a program to provide Bundi fertilizers for the Maha season will also be started.
Earlier, India had delivered 44000 metric tons of urea to Sri Lanka.
