An 18-year-old youth who stole a gas cylinder from the house of former minister Wimal Weerawansa in Kaduwela has been arrested by the Western Province South District Crime Division.
After questioning the suspect, who is a resident of Hokanda, the stolen gas tank was also found.
This theft was carried out last May 09 by setting fire to the house of MP Wimal Weerawansa. The suspect was arrested yesterday. The suspect has been remanded after being presented to the Kaduwela court today.
