An IMF team will arrive in SL next week

The International Monetary Fund staff is scheduled to visit the island between August 24-31.

It is for further discussions with the Sri Lankan authorities on economic, financial reforms and policies.

Peter Brewer, the head of the International Monetary Fund’s mission in Sri Lanka, and Masahiro Nozaki, the head of operations for Sri Lanka, will lead the delegation of the International Monetary Fund to Sri Lanka.

The purpose of the visit is to reach a staff-level consensus on the debt restructuring program and inquire about its progress.
