Reliable sources say that a new cabinet will be sworn in next week to replace the existing cabinet in the form of all-party governance.
It has been learned from the unofficial sources that this new cabinet is going to be sworn in taking into account the suggestions and rejections that have been presented to President Ranil Wickremesinghe regarding an all-party rule.
However, before this, the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna had made a request to the President regarding the new ministers to be received in a new cabinet reshuffle.
The sources state that the names of the MPs Dr. Ramesh Pathirana, Prasanna Ranatunga, Janaka Bandara Thennakone, Johnston Fernando, Rohitha Abeygunawardena, CB Ratnayake, Pavitra Vanniarachchi, SM Chandrasena, Namal Rajapaksa, Dr. Bandula Gunawardena, Sanath Nishantha, Kanchana Wijesekara are included in it.
Several MPs including Rajitha Senaratne MP from Samagi Jana Balawegaya, Jeevan Thondaman of Lanka Labor Congress, ALM Athaullah, leader of National Congress and several other parties and Independent Party Union have also received invitations in this regard.
