There has been a breakdown in the first unit of the Norochcholai power plant.
Electricity Minister Kanchana Wijesekera says that the technical staff is working to identify the fault.
Unit 2 is undergoing pre-planned maintenance.
Meanwhile, the minister also said that the 3rd unit of Norechhole is continuing to operate.
The Minister also emphasized that the Western Power Plant and other fuel plants will be used to manage the electricity supply.
