India sent 40000 MT of Rice, 500 MT of milk powder and 102 MT of Medical equipment to Sri Lanka

As humanitarian aid, the people of India have sent 40,000 metric tons of rice, 500 metric tons of milk powder and 102 metric tons of other medical equipment including medicines, and were received to Sri Lanka in three phases.

Issuing an announcement, the Ministry of Trade, Commerce, and Food Security states that the last part of the humanitarian aid stock reached the port of Colombo today.

The aid includes 16,595 metric tons of rice, 200 metric tons of milk powder and 38 metric tons of other medical equipment including medicines.

Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Gopal Bagle, Minister of Health and Water Supply Keheliya Rambukwella, Secretary of the Ministry of Trade, Commerce and Food Security S. T. Kodikara, and others have accepted the donation.
