Masks are required – there is a risk of another wave of covid

As there is a risk of a covid wave emerging in the next few months, the Government Medical Officers’ Association states that they are asking the health authorities to make the wearing of face masks mandatory.Dr. Haritha Aluthge, Secretary of the Government Medical Officers’ Association, said that especially in public places and places like buses and trains, as people hang around hospitals, it is mandatory to wear face masks even in those places.He also mentioned that as a new type of covid is spreading rapidly all over the world, there is a risk of a covid wave emerging in Sri Lanka in the next two to three months.Dr. Haritha Aluthge mentioned that the number of covid patients has increased to 10% and such a situation is very dangerous.
