Imposed State of Emergency is extended

The state of emergency imposed across the country has been further extended.

The related gazette notification has been issued by the President’s Secretary Mr. Gamini Senarath on the instructions of the Acting President Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe.

Due to the state of public emergency in Sri Lanka, the state of emergency was declared recently to ensure public safety and the country’s stability and to maintain essential supplies and services for public life and has been re-imposed with effect from today.
