Agriculture, Wildlife and Forest Resources Minister Mahinda Amaraweera has decided to resign from his ministerial position.
A ship carrying urea fertilizer from India is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka today (10) and receiving the ship will be Mr. Amarweera’s last official duty.
Mahinda Amaraweera is the fifth minister who decided to resign after yesterday’s events. Ministers Bandula Gunawardena, Harin Fernando and Manusha Nanayakkara, Dhammika Perera resigned from their positions so far.
