The Moratuwa Additional Magistrate has rejected the bail application of Moratuwa Mayor Samanlal Fernando, who was remanded in police custody for obstructing the duties of health officials involved in a vaccination program in Moratumulla.
Attorneys for the Mayor of Moratuwa have filed a motion seeking bail. The mayor is currently being held at the quarantine center for prisoners located in Pallansena Youth Correctional Center.
