Despite repeated requests and appeals to the government, which has been oppressive to the people for many years, to correct mistakes and take correct decisions on many occasions, the country became anarchic day by day as they failed to take relevant decisions quickly.

In the end, the people of the country brought those painful experiences to a struggle, and today the President’s Office and the President’s House have been occupied by the fighters who fought for justice.

Their only demand is that President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa should resign and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe also has no mandate to hold the position.

The Sri Lanka Freedom Party is of the opinion that the President and the Prime Minister should immediately resign from their positions, making it possible for an all-party government that is accepted by everyone to work immediately to solve the country’s problems. The decision of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party is that the President should resign within 24 hours and the Prime Minister should also resign by inviting all parties to form an all-party government.
