The Ministry of Agriculture states that a ship carrying 40,000 metric tons of fertilizer is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka tomorrow (9) night.
According to that, the ministry says that the fertilizer distribution will be started immediately from the day after tomorrow (10).
Agriculture Minister Mahinda Amaraweera mentioned that the necessary financial allocations for the distribution of fertilizers for the Maha season have already been allocated.
The ministry also mentions that another ship carrying 25,000 metric tons of fertilizer is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka in the next two days.
