The issuance of revenue licenses for registered cars in the Western Province will take place only three days a week from next Monday until further notice.
Inspector-General of Police Mr. C. D. Wickramaratne has issued an order to all police stations on the island to take this into consideration and act in a manner that does not cause inconvenience to the vehicle owners.
Accordingly, from next Monday, vehicle licenses will be issued only on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
The Chief Secretary of the Western Province states that due to the ongoing fuel crisis, revenue permits will be issued for vehicles registered in the Western Province for only three days.
The Provincial Secretary also mentions that it is possible to obtain revenue licenses for Western Province registered vehicles through the online method by accessing the website of the Western Province Motor Department at https://motortraffic.wp.gov.lk.
