Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera says that 85 petrol stations have been reserved today for health services.

He points out that 6600 liters of petrol and 6600 liters of diesel have been distributed and the Petroleum Corporation has informed the filling station owners about this.

The Minister also said that the health authorities had been informed about the quantities that could be distributed today.

However, today health workers gathered at a number of filling stations and protested, saying there was no fuel.

The Minister said that the petrol ship scheduled to arrive yesterday was delayed and the supplier had informed the CPC that it would arrive today.

However, the Minister of Energy stated that the relevant supplier has informed the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation that the arrival of the petrol ship which was scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka today will be further delayed.

Accordingly, the CPC has been further informed of the delay, and the date of arrival will be confirmed later, the Minister said.

He also apologized for the delay.

Following is the list of filling stations issued by the Minister today to obtain fuel for health staff.
