So far 2725 people have been arrested in connection with the 857 riots that took place across the country following the attack on the Galle Face protesters.
The Police Media Spokesman’s Office stated that 1083 of the suspects have been remanded and the other suspects have been released on police and court bail.
The Media Spokesman’s Office further stated that 21 suspects have been arrested in this regard within the last 24 hours alone.
