The Ministry of Health states that the World Food Program has agreed to provide assistance for the resumption of Thriposha production.
Secretary to the Ministry Janaka Chandragupta stated that the discussions held with the Sri Lankan delegation to the World Food Program were successful.
Accordingly, steps will be taken to expedite the supply of raw materials, including maize, required for the production of Thriposha in the country, he said.
The production of Thriposha has come to a standstill due to the shortage of raw materials.
