Energy Minister Udaya Gammanpila said the port city would create an opportunity for Sri Lanka to regain its lost opportunity.
Making his remarks during the debate on the Colombo Port City Economic Commission Bill, he said this project would be a turning point in Sri Lanka’s history.
He said Singapore and Dubai became economic hubs of the region because Sri Lanka failed to realize its potential.
