A herd of wild elephants collided with a train in the forest reserve area between Habarana and Gal Oya railway stations last night (03).
Two baby elephants were killed and one elephant was injured in the accident.
The train derailed due to the accident. The train was transporting wheat flour.
As a result, the night mail train service had to be suspended.
