A stock of 600,000 Sputnik V vaccines will be delivered within the next couple of weeks, Minister Sudarshana Fernandopulle said.
She said five percent of the population had been fully or partly vaccinated.
She also said plans are in place to give the jabs to 60 percent of people this year .
