Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Northwestern provinces and in the Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts today (29), the Met Department said.

People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers posed by temporary strong winds and lightning along with thunder showers.

During thundershowers, the sea areas may become rough with strong winds.
