According to the Police Headquarters, 1213 photographs, videos and information have been received regarding the attack on the Galle Face protesters and the attack on the houses and business premises of politicians.
The number of photographs received by the IGP in the email is 515, the number of videos is 90 and the number of information is 608, said Police Media Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa.
According to the Police Headquarters, the suspects have been arrested following the information and investigations are underway to arrest more persons.
So far 854 complaints have been received regarding the attacks that took place on the 9th. Yesterday alone 88 complaints were received. Police Media Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa stated that the number of suspects arrested so far is 1966.
Of these, 866 suspects have been remanded while the rest have been released on judicial and police bail.
