Meeting to discuss the 21st amendment with parties tomorrow

A meeting between all political parties represented in Parliament, including Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and Justice Minister Wijedasa Rajapaksa, will be held tomorrow to discuss the proposed 21st Amendment to the Constitution.

The discussions will be held at the Prime Minister’s Office tomorrow at 4.00 pm.

The purpose is to meet with political parties and discuss the bill further before it is passed in Parliament.

The draft was presented to the Cabinet by Justice Minister Wijedasa Rajapaksa recently.

The Prime Minister said in a recent statement that he had discussed the matter with party leaders and decided to report it to the Cabinet and present it to Parliament.
