The CID has recorded a statement from former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa regarding the investigation into the attack on the Galle Face protesters.

A senior official of the Police Headquarters stated that this statement has been obtained by a senior officer of the CID.
This statement has been obtained for more than two hours and special attention has been paid to the meeting held at Temple Trees on the 9th.
