Kanchana Wijesekera, Minister of Power and Energy says that 95 octane petrol will be distributed island wide from today.
The Minister had stated this in a special Twitter post regarding the fuel situation in the country.
The Minister has pointed out that with the unloading of two ships carrying fuel, it is possible to supply 95 octane fuel, which is sufficient for a period of 6 weeks.
Accordingly, the Minister further said, consumers who wish to obtain octane 95 fuel should not wait in line at the fuel queues that issue octane 92 fuel today and obtain fuel without any difficulty from tomorrow.
